    Cool Spanish Sporty Life!?

    Hi All,

I'm planning on heading out to Spain in the early months of 2009, probably towards the Canary Islands at first to start some bar/waitering and get a feel for the Spanish way of life and get settled.

My long term plan however is to move towards the mainland to live and work. I''ve a degree in Sports Science and a very Sporty background and was just wondering is there a high, low, medium or average demand for Sport related jobs!!?

Any help, advice, warnings or other general chit chat would be great!

    Hi dav_58

Finding a job in Spain isn't very easy... But generally speaking your chances are better if you can speak Spanish... We have an article in our guide to Spain section about Finding a job in Spain you might want to take a look at.

Of course VaIl the general chit chat is always welcome! Extreme Sports sound ideal, i've done a fair bit of water related sports over the years. How is Sevilla this time of year?

Thanks Greg, i'm all booked up for a Spanish course starting in January that i'm really looking forward to getting started on. I'll have a read through the guide to Spain 'finding a job in Spain' section........as of course the rest of the website! I thoroughly enjoyed the Spanish News section earlier.

Yup. Sports are the big thing here.

Just like everywhere else, marketing your own skills and knowledge is what really makes the difference.

Your plan seems to be very sound. You ought to do some basic footwork first and gain a good insight into the matter. Tailoring your offer to the needs of your market will then come easily.
