BBC News - Fast Track - Is Barcelona being spoilt by tourists?

Around 10 million tourists are expected to visit Barcelona in the year 2012. The city has experienced a rapid growth in the tourism sector over the past few decades.

But not everyone is happy with the influence that these visitors are having on the city.

Rajan Datar travelled to the Catalan city to find out if mass tourism is spoiling Barcelona's charm and authenticity.
Interesting video. Even in the heart of the Crisis, Barcelona is heaving at the seams through large number of tourists, and the figure can only get worse next year when the fast train link to France is completed.

Personally I think it's an opportunity for Zaragoza, Valencia, Teruel, Madrid etc to entice those tourists away from overcrowded, street crime ridden Barcelona. But how can Barcelona change so it can cope with such numbers?
