Thread: Learning Scottish.

Having learn't Spanish last week, I have noticed that recently this site has been infiltrated by Scottish speakers. Therefore this week I have decided to learn Scottish.

This is a poem I made up about a soldier in the trenches.

Lay me doon in the caul caul groon
whaur afore monie, mair huv gaun

when they caum, I will staun mi groon
staun mi groon, al nae be afraid.

Thoughts awe hame, tak awa ma fear
sweat an bluud, hide ma well ah tears.

Hows that Val.

Wow you learned Spanish in a week, you will have to tell us your secret.

It is a sad state of affairs but the reason there seems to be more and more Scottish people on these sort of forums is because the country is going to pot. People don't seem to understand how bad it is getting because when they look at this figure for this or this figure for that Scotland is counted in with England and Wales. Glasgow has the lowest life expectancy and has one of the worst crime rates in Western Europe . If you look at it per ratio Scotland even has a higher rate of unemployment than Spain or Eire and that's saying something.
Ah well I got that out my system, Keep up the poetry and take care.

Keddyboy, I wouldn't dream of it,.... isn't it........yacky dah, I have been to Welsh Wales, but haven't quite mastered the language yet. I had a Welsh friend, he used to sing Bread from Ammanford, beer from the Royal Oak. His name was Jones, I wonder if you know him????
