Im about to study spanish in barcelona in the spring. I have checked out several schools and the Bcn metropol language school is almost half as expensive as the other ones. A little suspect i think, and i wonder if anyone has any experince of this school or maybe have some advise... |

Sorry! Can't help here.
I don't think it can be bad, I have just googled it for reviews, problems etc and nothing came up. Mix the classes with lots of contact with Spainish people. Once you have the basics, the way to learn is trying to talk with the locals! I think the only language schools that were here when I arrived were English ones! I got thrown in the deep end............ Learn or starve! No one spoke a word of English, some a little French. I think the first thing I learnt was Cafe con Leche y Tortilla de Patatas |

Hi Viktormorten I'm trying to find a language school in Barcelona also. I live near Sant Boi and am looking in that area to save going into the city. Are you wanting something in the centre?

hi, i am actually looking at a few schools in Barcelona, for myself to study in from June-September, i have found a few possible schools but all seem very expensive for a few months. I have seen the school you are talking about but never heard if it is good.
Viktor- have you moved to BCN yet? |

I decided on distance learning eventually and have signed up with Linguaweb. The course lasts a year and is not so expensive as classes. Mind you we travel a lot so I am never in one place long enough to attend classes regularly. Also, I want to learn not only to speak but to read and write also. I have found the classes I have atteneded have concentrated on conversation only. Interestingly, the majority of students using Linguaweb are Sweedish. My turor is from Barcelona but lives in Sweden. Good luck with your search.
