Hello Colm, thank you for contacting us. Our house is in the village of Alhama de Granada which is about 45 minutes from Granada centre and about 1 hour 20 mins from Malaga. It is a very pretty, traditional house with original wooden beams and antique terracotta floors but it has been completely reformed so has lots of modern conveniences eg new plumbing, electrics, bathrooms and kitchen. It has four bedrooms, two sitting rooms, two bathrooms, a large kitchen/diner and a patio and garden. It also has a large storage cupboard in the house and shed in the garden. There's plenty of on street parking around the house. We have rented it out as holiday accommodation for the last two years and it has been very popular with an occupancy rate of 75% this year.
It's in a very nice, traditional village street about five minutes walk from the centre of Alhama and it's famous gorge.
The price is 195,000 euros.

Try ebay uk , it reaches a far greater audience. Another tip is type in "free adverts spain" in google. loads of free advertising sites come up.

This is a good thread for me - I've got a townhouse in Loja (Granada province) and just lost my tenants and am thinking sale would be best bet. My wife and I had a discussion and reckon we've got to go in with a low price to get any interest in this climate (about 30% off price we hoped for a couple of years ago). We also want to try private sale advertising. Some of the forums have free property for sale sections. Another possibility is websites where you pay a fixed fee for unlimited advertising but only worth doing if they rank well in search engines for your property type / area. You could also set up your own website just for your property and try and get traffic to it by hook or by crook. Finally advertise outside of the UK and Spain - Germany, Holland etc - using Google Translate if necessary.

Just some thoughts. I would welcome other views on this.

I would certainly look at trying to market your property in say Holland and Germany rather than just the U.K as these nationalities seem to be buying in Spain more than Brits. Google translate is an excellent tool.
