If you havent got much money I would really consider moving anywhere in Spain except the two most expensive areas Madrid and Barcelona.

Murcia is a good area to move to at the moment as they are in the process of building new hospitals and health centres. If your mother can speak spanish then it is a good opportunity for work as there is a lot of english living in San Javier and the Mar Menor - where the new health centres and hospitals are. Also I would suggest getting a job before moving out as there is an employment crisis here and jobs are few. Also renting here first too make sure you actually like living here would be a good idea.

    Good luck.

Do your homework first though as I heard jobs are going to the Spanish first.

    Hi,
as mentioned before Barcelona is an expensive city in Spain. On the other hand it is big and international with lots of opportunities. There are for example also various small towns around the city with many companies and businesses. Good luck!

    Spanish Property 2012

Having been away for almost 2 weeks I am just catching up ! I heard on the british news last night about how unemloyment is rising fast in Spain and seemed to cover all sectors. I had already heard that any jobs going in Spain were where at all possible going to spanish people, many have returned to strawberry picking as there are not many vacancies to be had.

I would think you need to have employment cast iron guaranteed if you need to work here.
Just a country girl looking for a new life
