Thread: Moving to Valencia

Hi!

I'm moving to Valencia in April and will be looking for TEFL work. I have just completed my CELTA. Does anyone have any tips- good places to look for work? Places to avoid? Right now I'm basically completely lost, so any info on good areas to live, good websites to find shared flats etc will all be very useful. My Spanish is pretty basic, but I'm looking to take lessons there. ANY ADVICE WELCOME!

I used to live in the centre of Valencia City and had some very happy memories. A beautiful city, big but manageable and a nice mix of beach, nightlife, culture and urban life. My particular favourite place was the massive Central Market - full of fantastic foods, sights and noise. Good luck with your move.

Just found your post. Did you move to Valencia? If so, what have been your experiences so far? What neighborhoods have you found that would be the best to live in? My husband and I are in the process of searching for rentals in the Valencia area. We are both retired and plan on moving this coming November. Would love to hear your experiences so far.
