The best advice I can give you is to start by googling each of your queries and looking at any information for ex pats. Try typing in jobs in spain then search with results for care homes or welding jobs. Also places like government site for people moving abroad. Lots of information here also by using the 'Guide to Spain' section in the blue line above. Guide to Spain

Also look in the area you wish live in section on here. There are two 'stickies' in the ' Living in Spain' section.

Lots of reading to do :-)

Hi Becky, Don't be put off by everyone. I read you have your own / parents place to use in Murcia. That's half the battle having a base. You BF should not have a problem getting a job welding in that area, loads of farm machinery needs repairing, grills for house to be made, etc.
How old are you if you dont mind me asking. I guess 19? Try the english schools in Murcia as an assistant. Try nursery schools in the area. The are always job's for mobile carers here, you know popping in to the old dear's making them a bite to eat havin a cup of tea. There are adverts for carers wanted in the local press, try the costa blanca news.
Don't give up on your dream, there has never been a better time to start, because everything is at the bottom now the only way is up.
    Good Luck

Becky an option might be to apply to Iceland in San Javier.....get your Spanish up to scratch and then apply for work as a carer

For welding firms in the area check out paginas-amarillas.es and search for "Soldadura" = Welding or "Soldador" = Welder.
Thinks that if all economists were laid end to end, they would not reach a conclusion
