I know a couple of folks in the Murcia region who came across on the ferry and then drove down.....I understand it took one of our neighbours about 8 hours from Santander to San Pedro del Pinatar (and they did not exceed 60 mph).
If you choose the Ferry, for goodness sake wait for the better weather!

    Arrow Transport it. No question.

Cheaper, less stress, it's a boring journey in the main. If it's summer and you have no air-con you will lose a stone in perspiration! Finally think if it breaks down. I will say no more.

I don't find the journey from here to Santander boring at all ! Some stunning scenery and beautiful villages to stop in for tapas and coffee. I have done the trip by car and by motorbike

It's Monarch Airlines for me and hire a car in the UK when you get there.
If it's heavy stuff to get back to Spain let a truck bring it, it's Peanuts.
I got a recon. gearbox for my Range Rover sent out....£100 carriage total...Midlands to Malaga Province...weighed nearly 2cwt. 5days from ordering to having it in my workshop, brilliant!

Actually the shipping on our two bikes was dirt cheap too....I can't remember exact numbers but I think in the region of £25
Thinks that if all economists were laid end to end, they would not reach a conclusion
