    Couple of suggestions...

I understand you are not too close with your Dad from what you wrote, yet still close enough to go see him? Perhaps you could talk to him? Ask him if he'd support you (clothes, food, living) at least until you can manage yourself?

As for work, I haven't been to Fuengirola for a long time, so I cannot say what chances you have, not even sure if there are that many bars/clubs even open at this time of the year, do you know?

For working legal you will need a NIE (numero de identificacion de extranjero) its a number you apply for which basically registers you as a foreigner, allowing you to work, open bank accounts, etc.

    Hi Danny,
Fuengirola and most of the other coastal bars are not busy in winter.
Could you hang on a bit say until start of April when the season starts to pick up for Easter ? That is when the bulk of my new hols bookings start for next year.
Without a roof over your head, you will find it very hard to manage. Your savings will go in two to three months.
Barwork pays €5.00 per hour and there are people queuing for the jobs. I know because I have two youngsters a little older than yourself who cannot get other work sometimes.
I don't want to be a wet blanket on your idea but my kids struggle sometimes, one is fluent and other can hold a converstion in Spanish, and they have parents they do get on with.
The trouble is with the current financial situation is it's hitting everywhere, here is no different. Mine used to sometimes think it would be better to go back to UK for work - they tried it - it's no greener either side.

unfortunately now is not a good time for job hunting anywhere, so i reckon its best to make sure you have some kind of security in your living circumstances until things pick up then you can start to risk other things. (but then i am a bit of a cautious type). I have recently lost my job here in spain, i am on several websites and with several job centres and not a single offer, and thousands applying for every job. I am fortunate that i have a roof over my head and sufficient dole to keep me bread and watered. (for the time being atleast!)

    hi thanks for your comments......
im aware it is not going to be busy enough in the early months but im still thinking positive about the work situation if i was gonna get any help from my dad it would be with work as he is a head doorman and hasa already suggested about helping find some work. but as a place to stay goes i will be staying with him on arrival but dont know how long i will be welcome and once i do have to venture out then im gonna need to know what to do, if there are hostels or maybe flatshare or even a camping site and you also mention abut the number for working legally where would i apply ffor this

    Spanish Property 2012

Dannyboyuk My partner and I have just recently moved out to Sitges, Barcelona. He is working now. He had to get an NIE (which you attend your nearest Policia Nacional office with your passport, complete a form and pay a small fee under 7€ usually via a local bank. He also showed them his empadromento showing we have a property here although I am not sure they requuired that. ) He also had to sort out his own SSID (social security nmber) We had searched many websites for jobs in Barcelona and they all stated the employer would sort that for you but we found they wanted him to do it. So you need to find where the nearest social Security office is. Show them passport NIE Empadromento etc and that is the issue of a certificate with your SSID number .
I recommend you start now by finding websites that offer employment in the area you are heading out to.
Finally I wish you the best of luck, stay positive it's the only way to be if you start getting negative you end up not doing it.
