Absolute Spain Forum
The Absolute Spain Forum has had over 300,000 visitors in 2009 and at current
growth levels will reach far over 500,000 in 2010.
This means hundreds of hours a year dedicated to moderation, management,
upgrades and of course cleaning out spam, not to mention the monetary costs
running into the tens of thousands of Euros until today.
In recent months, the forum has also been severely plagued by a lack of
compassion and respect for the reality of life in Spain given the current
recession, the real estate disaster, and all the catastrophes due to Climate
Change which are strongly affecting countless expats as well as Spaniards and
life in Spain in general.
In light of these circumstances, members who want to participate from now on,
are required to contribute towards the costs as well as show a respect,
understanding and positive engagement towards the reality of life in Spain
without trying to hide the reality or the problems, but instead engaging in
constructive discussions towards improvement as well as a realistic but
constructive response to the questions and topics brought up by other members.
On this forum, members show solidarity, expressed in a self-critical way about
how it came to that critical state in Spain, and a benevolent respect for the
hundreds of thousands of expats that had to leave Spain or strongly suffer from
the recession, as well as for the future foreign generations that want to live
and work in Spain or to make holidays in Spain.
