Thread: Struggling in Mallorca

iv been living in mallorca spain for 6 years,finding it harder all the time,cant get a job with contract,neither can my husband, we are trying our best but its not looking good,we dont want to move back to u.k but looks like only option as rents are to high.

Have you considered scanning the internet for online roles where location isn't important?

hi jazmine,yes been scanning the internet for work at home but spent two days solid and most of um are scams,or want you to pay them money to join,im goin keep trying though as we dont want to go back to u.k....my son is 11 now and is more spanish than english ,he will be lost in england.

What have you been doing for 6 years on the island ?

Jobs are tough everywhere at the moment so hang on in , UK is no better

where on the island are you ?

hi ,we are in palma nova.....i have been working in a shop...and hubby is a gardener..but my shop wont be employing no 1 this year she has to work it herself.

Yep Jobs are thin on the ground around here also in Porto Cristo ..

Mind you jobs are as bad in UK so just keep searching here . good luck .
