There are some many good restaurants here in Madrid I wouldn't know where to start..depends what you are looking for Carnation regarding area, price, type of cuisine etc but a good place to start for a typical Madrid feed would be Meson Botin El Botin - Madrid - TravBuddy It's full of tourists but the locals also enjoy the place. Reservations essential. Less touristy is the Sidreria Vasca Cocina tradicional vasca. En el Barrio de las Letras de Madrid, Restaurante Zerain -Kargalekuta S.L.- which serves the most magnificent steaks...only a green salad necessary to accompany and serve yourself from the cider barrels. Everything excellent here tho particularly the tortillas of bacalao to start with.
