Yes you guy's out there, that time of year is fast approaching and the black plastic bin liner hidding in your wardrobe has to be filled with goodies, now I wonder what that could be???? Suggestions please?

Perfume, Spa day with some treatments thrown in, some nice clothes from Court Ingles, bottle of champers, beautiful ornament or vase, jewellery.

I was thinking more of a new set of saucepans.

Come on now be realistic, chaps.

Mine needs a new electric drill, preferably one of those that you fix to a workbench, a router, a new electric plane, a set of paint brushes, a 3 section extension ladder, a scaffold tower, a cement mixer and, to cut up the leña, a chainsaw.

She is also quite generous and will let me borrow them from time to time. I might surprise her and get her an arc-welder so that she can make those railings beside the steps to the patio that she is always on about.

Yes I go along with Baldi, the saucepans are sort of duel mode and perhaps I would have to use them occassionaly. The perfume, jewellery etc is not in keeping with the bin liner. I am going to decorate the bin liner and I am earnestly scanning the bins as we speak. There are some real gems in these at the moment, three legged plastic chairs, non reclining recliners and topless brollies nothing that cannot be adapted. My theme and goal for this Xmas is economy so come on lads put your thinking caps on.

How about enrolling her in a course, Spanish, photography, cooking, whatever she is interested in or would like to learn about, the gift that keeps on giving, its a good way to meet new people too.

How about one of the courses laid on by the Junta - they are free including the materials. Mine has just done an art course and the suegra is doing a cookery course - finds it quite frustrating having written/edited a couple of cookery books, but it does get her out of the house. (Trouble is she expects to be let back in when it turns dark) There are always courses in arc-welding!

Is this "duel" mode a spelling mistake or are you serious and have graduated from rolling-pins?

I haven't heard that they roast up as well as a turkey for Christmas lunch, if they are anything like our lizards, there doesn't appear to be much meat on them.
