Did you know that you cannot win the Camelot Lottery if you use the internet Camelot site if you are in Spain? Its illegal to contribute to any lottery other than a Spanish lottery if you are a resident of Spain. If you are on holiday in Spain and have access to the internet, if you buy your tickets on line then Camelot will NOT PAY OUT If you are on holiday and you have a direct debit for tickets back in the UK you are alright but if you change the amount online,whilst in Spain, because you feel lucky, then they will not pay out. There are certain countries that this applies to, Spain, Netherlands and the USA being some of them. They are quite happy to accept your cash online but you will never win if you are in any prohibited country. Camelot do not actually list the countries concerned.

I don't do any lotteries but I am sure your information will be valuable to some people. keddyboy did you find out because you won and they won't pay out ?

best thing to do then, is if you have a winning ticket keep quiet until you get back to UK and claim there

No Dunmovin it doesn't work that way because Camelot know when and where the ticket was purchased. And Val, no I have never had a winning ticket, I heard it on the news this morning.

then the other suggestion would be to get someone you trust to buy the ticket in the uk and if you win claim the winnings there.

Personally, I would trust a family member to do it, because they all know if kept the ticket for themselves, I would hunt them down and their end would not be pleasant

keddyboy, when I was in the works syndicate we won quite regularly but nothing significant on my own personal numbers, years and years now since I did it.

Does anyone know how we can buy tickets online for the Eurolottery, OTHER than through the many syndicate websites where you pay anything up to €5 for a €1.50 ticket?
