Thread: dvd rental

Does anyone know of a DVD rental service like LoveFilm in the UK down here in Spain? My local video shop's selection is pretty horrible and I miss being able to just line up 50 films and have them be sent to me like I did at home.

Hello and welcome to the Absolute Spain Forum, sorry can't help, I seldom watch videos and never hire them. I sure some of our other members will be able to help though.

I don't know why you don't buy them from Amazon on-line. I am an avid collector of classical / opera DVDs. The choice on their website is encyclopaedic - no matter how obscure. You browse, you choose; days later they are delivered. Many are in the £7 bracket ... and they're yours for life! To re-sell; whatever.
The only problem (for me) is the lousy (non-existent actually) Correos postal 'service'. So I have sent to my next UK visitor; he or she brings them.

Why are you asking about DVD rental services if you actually own one? We prefer transparency on the forum, it works best for everyone.

We run a rental business called FilmAmora - I see that for some reason you posted a weblink to it. To the site admin this person (I think) is a new customer and not the site owner.

We offer rentals to anyone in continental Spain, and in response to the other posting about why rent, you can rent unlimited movies a month from us starting at 10€/month - that is a lot better deal that £7 each and you don't have to spend every Sunday on a market trying to sell them off!
