It was so hot dwn here last night, the cats plucked each other!!!!!! Seriously, very hot and alsmost get up in pants, totter to pool and Geronimo!!! [not a pretty sight I might add!

We were roughly 20 degrees last night - comfortable

Phew !!! in pool late last night, today it is burning your skin ! been in and out of pool all day and now had to put air con on the house is too hot even with all the windows/blinds down and the hot room (kitchen) door kept shut. chicken salad for dinner in a while. Too hot to eat.

Back in the UK and even here the weather is warm........OMG it feels just like Spain but then I look outside and I don't see the Mar Menor

Morning all been in the pool for a morning swim and cool down.

Boiling hot down here and guess what we are off to a 'CURRY PARTY' Look out for breezes light to heavy tomorrow comming across Spain from Andalucia!!

As Big Vern says; 30c in the day and 20c at night here near Torrevieja. I am doing life in shorts and I am padding around barefooted. Was swimming in the Med' yesterday.
I have all the doors and windows open, which isn't particularly clever. The folk in the house behind me are cooking ... and they are not too good at it. Before I realised where the burning smells were coming from I rushed around to check my kitchen out.

Arrived back in Alicante just after midnight on Sunday and it was 27C! The house is no longer the cool haven it was and it's the fact that the temp. doesn't drop very much at night now that is beginning to make it feel sticky. It's going to be a long, hot summer!

It is a bit better up in the mountains. The secret seems to be to copy the locals. Before sun comes round close doors and windows and drop the persianas - it is like living in a cave but at least it is cool. Another trick, if you have an attic with windows is to open them - it may be warm air blowing through but it also draws the cool air up through the house (make sure you have first swallow- and mosca- proofed the attic windows).
