    As far as I know.........
Company pension can be paid into a Spanish bank minus tax, for this you need to contact the tax office who deal with the pension.
O/Age pension cannot follow suit & will be taxed in the UK (outrage I know)

    Hi

John has been getting his state pension paid here in Spain tax-free since March last year. I have just arranged for my state pension to be paid here too, and I received the first transfer this month, also tax-free. So far as I am aware, the only pension that cannot be paid direct is a Civil Service pension, though that may be changing. I am pretty certain that you can ask for pensions to be paid gross on the basis that you will be a Spanish taxpayer now that you reside here. I have written to HM Revenue & Customs requesting this myself, so when (if?) I eventually get a reply I will update this thread.

    Sue

PS The reason I put (if?) is that I completed a self-assessment tax form last January and have written numerous letters since, however my tax situation still hasnīt been resolved over a year later, and most of my questions still remain unanswered!

Dear Sue, that is Maria the "Spanish wife" , thanks so much for your reply, we are a little lost with all of this...pensions&taxes...we don't know what to do, I know my husband will have to pay less here because I have a lot of disccount for my disability in fact my pension does not pay any taxes so I do believe it would be better for us.
Thanks again...and please, keep in touch "if" you are sent any response to your letters. Luck !!!

Thanks for that clarification Sue re-O/Age pension as I have been misinformed, happily so I might add as it will mean that I will pay less tax when I recive mine.
The company pension I do recive gross when the forms I requested from the tax office were returned to them from here. I simply called the tax office in the UK and told them I am living in Spain and am registered for tax here, forms sent-sent back-few weeks later a cheque arrived with my back tax.

    Missisdavis.
I have a Police Pension, which is taxed at source in the UK. My State pension has been transferred to the Spanish system, and as my wife and I have made a joint declaration we haven't been required to pay any tax on the State pension. I pay much less tax on my Police Pension, as it is the only thing taken into consideration in the UK.

You haven't mentioned as far as I know where you are living in Spain. If you could let us know, there may be someone local to you who could advise on where to go to sort out your tax.

There are forms to be completed in Spain, checked by the Spanish authorities and forwarded to the UK. When mine was completed, I received a rebate from the UK. Well worth doing

Thanks for the information, are you sure that you can pay on one pension in Spain and another in the UK,because you would in effect get double tax allowances.I thought the reciprocal tax agreement was all or nothing. If you are correct ,it would suit me as I am in the same position as you, with an NHS and OA pension. We live in Playa San Juan just north of Alicante, before you get to El Campello.I am the only Englishman in the area ,so I am glad that I have found this sight.
