We gave power of attorney to our Lawyer so that they could represent us in court for our case against a Turkish builder.....that said the circumstances in our case are very different and we can revoke it at any time we like.

I don't think I'd want a family member having power of attorney over my assets due to the huge powers they have to do what they like with said assets.
