what happenes when you stay for more than 30 days without applying for your nie number?

I just realized it's 30 days ..i thought i have 90 days to apply.

Good morning Sleepless, I see from your profile you say you are going back to school, does that mean you are a student ? What do you want/need an NIE for ? Is it the Schengen 90 day rule you are refffering to ? Give us some more information and maybe we can help.

You will be escorted up to Madrid, threatened by electricity company, forced to build municipal swimming pool and taxed to the hilt. Apart from that they probably won't know you are here!!!!!!!

but to answer the first post...yeah, i'm here as a student (non-EU), my visa has expried, and i haven't gone to get the tarjeta de risdencia yet..i'll probably do that tomorrow. they say you have to do it within 30 days, ok what if i haven't?

okay ...guys be serious...do you know what exactly happens? do you have to pay fees? or..they deport you?..lol. or they're just cool about it...

Why can't you get another visa? and why the residencia it is for those who live here for more than 183days, not the same as NIE which you need to work and buy houses,cars etc am I missing the point here no comprende

why not go to the Ayuntamiento and ask
