Default Staying in Spain 90 days tourist visa

I am Brazilian and I sent my son to barcelone for tennis courts. Yet the Brazilian passport has the right 90 days to stay. My son would like to stay 90 days more. Would it be possible to leave Barcelona for another nearby country and back to get 90 days again? if not, what he must do for an extension of stay on site? I confirm that my son will be 18 years old in August and therefore his visa is tourism.
Thank you,
Paulomadagascar
