    Default Hello from Valencia Holiday

    Hi all.
I am working for a holiday apartment rental company here in Valencia, we offer accommodation in the City, overlooking the spectacular City of Arts and Sciences leisure park or on Valencia beach.
I love the city of Valencia and we offer lots of tourism advice and information. Hopefully I can encourage a few of you to come and visit this spectacular city. If any of you have plans to visit and are needing some advice then let me know and I will help all I can.
Looking forward to getting to know the forum and fellow expats and perhaps I can be encouraged to visit other parts of Spain too!

Hello and welcome from me down here in rainy Sevilla area. We are hoping to visit that area, maybe on a road trip to Scotland ! Is it good for dog friendly hotels ? Where you you recommend for people that like good food and a bit of comfort ?

Have you been down this way ? Sevilla is my opinion a beautiful city with plenty to do for at least a week.

    Thanks for the welcome.
VAlL, I havenīt visited your area, my mother did a couple of years back and loved it, would like to get down there one day.
As for dog friendly hotels, thats a new one to me, will try to find out for you. We operate apartments mainly and they are nearly all dog friendly (with prior notice). As for eating out in style and comfort there are many good restaurants within the city. But living by the beach here I can say that the port area which was upgraded for the Americas Cup and Las Arenas zone of the beach have plenty of selection too. An evening on the terraces of the marina, or in the Plaza de la Virgin in the city centre are highly recommended.

Oh maybe one day we set sail then and enjoy the local dishes

I have not done much googling on the subject of pet friendly hotels, was looking for a site that maybe listed by region or hotel chain.

Actually I must check if the Paradores allow them. We like them when doing a motor bike trip no hassle big comfy rooms/bathrooms just the ticket for all the sore bits you never knew you even had. They do not bat an eyelid at bikers. Maybe they will welcome pets also

Now is the best time to visit Valencia as we are now in Las Fallas! if you have never witnessed Valencia in Las Fallas the festival of fire, then you donīt know what you are missing! I reckon its something that everyone needs experience in their lifetime, (atleast twice!) but then I am biased.
Read all about Las Fallas and see the official Las Fallas programme for 2009.

i'll agree with you there..it is a spectacular sight to see...from the 2pm "fireworks" to the burnings inthe middle of the city streets to the music and bands you must see it at least once when you are in spain...

    satandpcguy welcome the forum

health and and safety here in Spain ??? !!! not very evident or not adhered to and not much sign of implementation either. I hear people asking if the spanish don't really like their children as they seem to try to get rid of them in many ways
