Default I see lots more new members.

Come on in and say hello, post your questions and experiences in the relevant sections, lots of information and helpful people here who are willing to pass on their experiences in many different situations here in Spain. Break the ice and say hello to someone in your area or a member that has posted something you are interested in.

Look at the benefits in the offers on different types of membership and take an active part in the forum. It would be great to see more people making valuable contributions.

Oh and take a look at the photo galleries some lovely gardens ( see how your could be or maybe show us how good it is) and see how some of the villages/areas of Spain look.

    Hi Val

I am new to this forum and hope to make good use of it. Sometimes I find all forums a bit hard to follow and I tend to lose interest. Too many boards, smiley things, avitars and signatures. Also, at times my sense of humour doesn't translate well in written form and I end up offending people (or the forums I have been to are homes to very sensitive souls)!

There are many distractions on the Internet also. "Livemocha" looks like it will make my list. Great tip and thanks. Hope it improves my Spanish. vamos a ver.

Hmm well where to start ! aye some folks are sensitive and some rightly so some fora seem to attract the type that want to stir the preverbial and argue with everyone just because it is NOT done that way in their village or town. You do have to remember that Spain does it all her way and that is anyway who ever is dealing with you at time it sometimes seems.

There is a mountain of info on here but I have started with what may interest me and working my way around WHEN I don't get distracted by posting/googling for info to help someone or myself. (given up for now try to beat my husband at scrabble)

I like the avatars and signaures and love seeing who has what. Stick a smiley or two in your posts and folks will get the general idea of how you mean what you say

You just reminded me I am WAY behind with livemocha they keep sending my reminders of what I should have done. Mainly the speaking sections as this laptop has a built in speaker at the top and I cannae look down at the screen to read and up to the top to speak into the microphone. Also when I go on I get folks wanting to chat and I look at some thier english so many distractions.

    Suerte !

Livemocha is good but if you dont keep it up the reminders via email can become annoying
