    Default Hello From Canada

    Hi,
So nice to find this Forum. I am coming to Malaga for business end of January.
My daughter is coming and wants to research staying on for a while.
Any suggestions where we can find programs for youth for volunteering or anything other than university studies (as that doesn't interest her too much.)
It would be nice to get a head start researching before we get there.
Also, is Malaga a relatively safe place for a young lady to be touring around?
Thankyou so much and have a joy-filled and Inspired day
    Wendy

    Hi Wendy

A big welcome to the AbsoluteSpainForum

I'm not too sure what you mean with volunteering but I'm sure there are options. As for Malaga being a safe place I do think so. It's not a huge city and generally Andalucia is quite safe. When you say young lady, how young are we talking?

I also suggest you try posting in the Costa del Sol forum to get some more specific answers

    Hello Greg,

Thanks for your replay. She is University age. She just wants to travel around and find something meaningful to do and not go to school for a while.
You know, yoga loving personal development junkie type..
I'll pop over to that other forum you suggested as I guess Malaga is part of where you mentioned?
    Have a great day.

Oh ok university age, then I doubt she will have any trouble. I'm sure Malaga can be fun although I don't know much about it myself.

As for the other link its not another forum Its a specific section on this forum Don't leave just yet :P Hope you find some answers there.

    Enjoy your weekend!

    Hi Wendy

You might want to check out Learning Spanish in Spain at don Quijote Schools under the "Spanish & Work" section BTW some of it is "fun work" not "educational work" ;-))

What part of Canada? I lived in BC (summerland) for quite a few years. I live in Cáceres now... no beach but no crowds. You´re welcome any time

    Default Hi EH ?

    I'm from Ottawa.
We've been out to BC several times and absolutely love it there.
How long have you been in Spain ?

I'm only coming to Malaga for a week or so , but my daughter who is half Spanish wants to explore her roots. She has no family there as they all moved to Canada years ago.

    Thanks for your message.
    Have a great day,
    Wendy
