I'm Eric, and I'm considering a move to Spain. I am an American, but I want to expose my children to a greater range of culture, and after looking at books, and devouring delicious Spanish cuisine, I have decided to make the move to Spain. I want to find out information on schooling my children, as well as how difficult it can be to obtain permanent residency or even citizenship. I would also like to learn about different places, Madrid, Barcelona, etc, and how they are for raising children. Oh...and how difficult it would be for the children with regard to schooling in Castilian, versus English. |

Hey Eric
If you want nice cities have you looked at Murica or Cartagena? Also both are university cities and have great culture and there is lots to see and do. KR Karen |

Hi Eric,
I have just moved from Canada and my younger boy (12) doesn´t speak Spanish at all... I moved to Cáceres, beautiful city with university, close to Portugal, no crowds and my son goes to an international school where he can still speak English and learn Spanish as a second language... regards susana |

That´s right, they love paperwork in Spain... it is not only you because you come from abroad, it happens to everybody.
It would be very interesting to hear your experiences. Thanks susana |
