Default thinking of moving to spain

    Hi all
Me and my husband have been thinking of moving to spain for a few years now . We have three children four and under and think we would like to do it within the next couple of years. We think the children will be young enough to settle and my four year old has been attending a spanish nursery for two years so has an understanding of the laungage. The one thing that worrys us ,is what my husband would do for work, he is a gas engineer and we know that it is bottle gas in spain, have heared that they are laying gas pipes in spain so was wondering would if in the future would there be a need for gas engineers. any advice on this would be great. bernie

    Hi Bernie,
I hope you can come to Spain and enjoy here. Do not do the mistake that many have done, to just move and see what happens if you really need a work. I have sold many properties twice because this.
If you need a job, come and search for one and then decide to move. Sometimes it can be very difficult and now a days with the world economical problems, much more.
    Wish you all the best

    Hi Bernie,
Had many a happy time in Watford years ago and still have relatives there. Welcome to the forum.
They are laying some new gas pipe lines down our way - Costa del Sol, but I don't know where else yet.

Hola,It can be great here and it can be tough if you can`t get work. They are laying gas pipes near me in Granada region and on the Costa but may have to think of another trade or something completely different.
Regarding your kids,i`ve got an 8 year old here been here for 3 years overall he`s quite happy but it can be difficult for the young ones not knowing the ol lingo....but having 3 kids maybe a help.
    Good luck
