Thats a great article, really gets to the emotion of Las Fallas. Shame it is all coming to an end tomorrow!
I had a full scale band and firecrackers waking me up at the crack of dawn this morning, (well not quite so early!) marching through the streets in the "desperta".
If you can´t get to it in real life, try the valencian channels on TV they show the "MAscletá" live, with a sound scale-- yesterday reached 121 decibels and they are promising today will be louder!
