    Default Baeza Spain info

Hi We are attending a wedidng in Baeza in Spain in March. Can anyone recommend a good English Speaking Hairdresseror any hirdresser in the village . We are looking at car hire from madrid Airport but if anyone knows of a mini bus company that could collect us from the Airport on the Thursday and return on Sunday that would be great . I have searched lots of websites but cant find anything
any other info would be great as we are there for 4 days !
Thanks in advance for all your response !

Hello Jackie, welcome to the Absolute Spain Forum. if you do a search on here for Baeza it should bring up some info. Can't help with hairdresser they are hard to come by down here good bad or english speaking !

Hertz, National, Europcar and Avis are at Madrid airport. Several companies came up when I googled Madrid then search within results 'minibus hire with driver' good luck.

Baeza is 327 km (203 miles) by highway south of Madrid. It has a RENFE rail station (Linares - Baeza) 9 miles southwest on the Linares-Almeria railway and bus transportation from Madrid.

For buses you can try "avanzabus.com/web/estacion-de-autobuses-de-orense.html" just add the www. prefix..... also remember to select ida y vuelta....

Here's a sample journey I put in for fun:

    IDA Origen Madrid Destino Baeza
    Fecha: 11-03-2010
    Salida Llegada Aprox. Servicio Empresa
    Tarifas de Ida
    09:00- Madrid Est. Sur (MADRID) 12:55 - BAEZA NORMAL 18,72 €(IDA/VUELTA)
    Más tarifas
    15:30- Madrid Est. Sur (MADRID) 19:15 - BAEZA NORMAL 18,72 €(IDA/VUELTA)
    Otras tarifas
    VUELTA Origen Baeza Destino Madrid

    Fecha: 14-03-2010
    Salida Llegada Aprox. Servicio Empresa
    Tarifa de Vuelta
15:25- BAEZA 19:15 - Madrid Est. Sur (MADRID) NORMAL
    18,72 €(IDA/VUELTA)
    Otras tarifas

Note: this is NOT from the airport but from central Madrid......

Whilst I cannot recommend any hairdressers in Baeza, you could try calling a few from:

"paginasamarillas.es/peluqueria_baeza_615_912.html" just remember to add the usual www. prefix.

To ask if they speak English just say "¿Habla inglés?" .......good luck ;-)

Another tip is to look up any 4/5 star hotels nearby where you are staying (or maybe where you are staying) to see if they have an on site hairdressers as I suspect said hairdressers would speak at least some English.

I have passed through Baeza..It's a typical Spanish town. I would think the chances of meeting any other Brits there is slim. With a 200 mile journey from Madrid, the train seems the best option. If you want to self drive it would probably be cheaper to rent a car for the four days than take a minibus from the airport, and then again to return. With a car you would be able to visit places like Cordoba which is less than a couple of hours away.
