Thread: Cost and help with playing golf in Los Alcazares / Costa Blanca Area

Hi

Me and the wife have recently started golf lessons and have joined a local golf club.

This was based on, a retirement plan of 6 years (6 months at least each year in the sun) coupled with or last holiday staying frontline in La Torre, wine on the terrace whilst watching all the couples coming past.

We thought at the time this could be great for both of us when retired in the sun.

We are having a week in Los Alcazares on Jan 15th and were hoping to play probably once or twice just to see what it is like.

I am not sure whether courses are open in January ?

I have looked on the net at the cost of a round on Polaris and with club hire, etc its expensive!!!

Santa has been generous this year and bought us clubs although we didnt think it was worth paying to transfer them to Spain as we will only play once maybe twice at most, this holiday.

Please could anyone recommend a cheaper course /club, we are hiring a car so travel is not a problem within the murcia / costa blanca south area.

Ideally a friendly place where we can just turn up and play and without a golf handicap restriction !
