Jaz... no problem... In my copy I've actually found a mention of part of the area in question under Murcia??? Quote; The stretch of coast south of Torrevieja has been developed at an alarming rate, and now is home to a mix of Europeans, Russians and Spaniards...Just to the South is a series of good clean beaches, known collectively as Las Playas de Orihuela........No mention of Torrevieja a City of 100,000 people. The City itself has over 100 different nationalities. The harbour is being revamped and when finished will apparently be the best, not only in Spain, but in all the Mediterranean..A new National theatre is being built, funded by the National Government. The Salt lakes are a National treasure being home to many species of birds such as Flamingoes, Sparrowhawks, hoopoos, and many more. twitchers come from all over europe to see them...The Spanish navy has donated an old submarine which has been repaired and together with a cutoms patrol boat are open to the public. 5000 people of all nationalities turned out in the main square for a carol service with music by a mainly British brass band. ...I was living in Cordoba, and found the rough guide excellent for that area, but it's as if where I live now doesn't exist....
