I´m glad to read that, Vail!!
I have a dog too, she is a Cocker Spaniel, quite old in fact ( 14 years ) but pretty healthy. Now she stays at home most of the time, because she gets tired easily, and we take her to the cottage on the weekends, so she can spend some time in a natural environment and play with other dogs that live there.
Otro abrazo!!!![]()
Hi there,
Well I have to say that all the different parts of Spain have something to offer. But a good starting point is Andalucia - fly into Malaga, rent a car and do a road trip to Granada & Sevilla for some culture, Malaga for good typical Spanish food and for fun you should check out Marbella and Tarifa which has beautiful beaches and is a kite surfers paradise.
have fun
xx

I have to agree with Luabil (think thats right!) Valencia is definately worth a visit. Aswell as the fiestas, architecture, lifestyle and beaches, Zoo, City of arts and Sciences, we now also have top sporting events like the Americas Cup and Formula 1. The marina is one of the largest in Europe, we have one of the largest leisure zones in the dried up river bed of the Turia which is gorgeous for walks, cycle rides, joggin or just lazing. And boy do the Valencians know how to party! Try the biggest beach party of all, which spreads the whole length of the Valencian coast on the night of San Juan in June.
I would use the city of Malaga as a base. It has everything - including in the hot summer some nice beaches just beside the city. From Malaga you can take trains/buses to other parts of southern Spain.
To find out more about the city of Malaga see the guide book mentioned in my profile.
I hope this is helpful.

For a City visit Cartagena in Murcia is well worth a visit , Murcia itself too you are near the Mar Menor the only inland sea it has it's own microclimate too, you can have mud baths and walk amongst the salinas.
You can then travel north to the Costa Blanca or south to Almeria, in Murcia are the 2 spa towns of Archena and Fortuna, Archena have made a feature of the old roman bath
We've just come back from visiting friends in Toledo province. We stayed in a finca just north of Torrijos...It's well off the normal tourist track and is situated about 20 minutes from Toledo, 40 minutes from Madrid and 30 minutes from Avila. A Colombian friend has built the house himself, and is finishing off the interior with a view to letting it out for short periods. It would make a great base for visiting Central Spain. I couldn't get over how green it was after living in Alicante Province. the scenery was stunning.
