    Angry What Crisis ?

Everyone is talking about Crisis but in Government and European Union institutions there is no Crisis. Currently I have vacancies in my team in Alicante for Software developers, Testers and a Filenet P8 specialist. Can I get anyone local. No !!!! Everyone I interview wants 300 euros per day to do easy work and for the Filenet p8 person 400 euros per day. I offer 150 euros per day for developers and 300 euro per day for Filenet p8. So if you Java experience testing experience or especially FileNet experience let me know send your cv to [NO EMAILS - USE THE PM SYSTEM]

    Hi Mark,

Welcome to the Absolute Spain Forum I hope you enjoy your stay...

You seem to be mixing up two subjects/issues in your post... The crisis is fact, you can say what you want.

As for finding good employees that is a whole other story so I cannot see why you are mixing them up.

I suggest you post your job offer on Jobby.es and put a listing into the job vacancies forum section aswell.

I guess his reference to the crisis is that the people looking for work seem to be very demanding, if they are that desperate, as in, in a crisis they would except his payment. The money sounds pretty good to me, how long will it take me to get qualifications in that sort of work Mark?

Ok Mark you have talked me into it, I am experienced with P38 (isopon) and can start on Monday & I take it as given that you have the air sanders etc ? (any good?)

And! I am a quick learner (cannot be that hard)

But I do know someone who "may well" have the skills you need (I will ask them to view this thread)

You are right - but - this seems to be one of a number about the recovery of the Spainish economy.

Does not seem to have an effect on the £ v € - interbank sitting at 1.14 at the moment!

    As I was saying:

Spain feels pinch as cash -strapped tourists stay away (page 1) < Travel & Tourism | Expatica Spain

The final comment from Trevor Davis says it all - quote:

Despite the recent decline in visitors, Trevor Davis, the director of retail distribution at The Co-operative Travel, Britain's largest independent travel agency, does not think the British are starting to permanently turn away from the country as a holiday destination.

"Absolutely not. We fully anticipate Spain will bounce back when the pound strengthens," he said.

The Economist has a very good article talking about which European countries are coming out of recession and which aren't (Spain's in the latter category they say):
