Default Which internet service provider in Spain?

A lot of newcommers to Spain want internet services. Which server do you use in your particular area? I ask this because of the different servers throughout Spain. I would never use Telefonica!!!!

Telefonica served us well enough till they wanted to charge us for a blown out modem due to electric storm, call out charge and a new one !!

We now have ya.com who seem to be working okay also.

The Spanish company Iberbanda for me, a tad on the expensive side, but fast and rarely goes down.

They are helpful if you do have any problems. I was with Bamboo for a while until the same thing happened to us as above.

The company informs you that the equipment belongs to them, you are only renting it and if you cancel they take it away. If that is so, then they are surely responsible for mending their equipment when it breaks - you can't have it both ways.

We couldn't get connected for years because we are in the campo and not on a landline but Iberbanda were one of the first to come to our rescue.

    Thumbs up

We live in the Campo and have to have Wireless. We are with Acox and I have to say they are faultless: 10 out of 10 for reliability and quality of signal. We have been with others previously who were pretty unreliable and more expensive.
If you are in the Guadalhorce region and need Wireless give them a go, there is no contract and they may be able to use your existing equipment.

Used Xtra Telecom for a while and everything was great until I moved house. They told me that as I was moving within the same town I wouldn't have any problems. When I moved I was then told it would take at least 4 weeks to re-connect me!

I switched back to Telefonica and to be honest I'm afraid of switching to anyone else again. The last little episode almost cost me my job.

We use telefonica and have no problems at all. Very pleased with it. Alot of my friends are using other servers and keep having no end of problems.

We use Iberbanda, they are supposed to be upgrading everyone to 1 meg at no extra cost. We are still waiting.

I recently transferred from Orange to Telefonica and am on the whole pleased with it. Orange were poor and the connection not good..they were also very secretive about charging for the phone calls that I made..no itemisation. I shall stick with Telefonica.
