Default Anyone think Spain will leave the Euro?

I'm sure that the new PP govt-elect are considering this. After all, they've promised to make jobs and debt the top issues to deal with. No point just getting a German imposed load deal, as that will depress the economy still further and stop creation of new jobs.

    What do others think?

If they would have the b**** to do that, this would be Spain's salvation! I doubt they would be as bold though...

Quite the contrary... There is already talk of accepting international aid, imposing EU demanded austerity, laws, changes, cuts, policy...

At one time I'd have agreed with you, but recent events (especially by Germany) have meant debt interest surging to close to 7%. I think a lot of countries (not just Spain) are approaching the "sod this for a game of soldiers" stage.
    Here's a very pertinent quote I've read:
'It has to be explained to Ms. Merkel that Spain, like Germany, has prepared a plan to exit the euro, a plan that can be put into effect in any moment in which circumstances recommend it and if the long- and short-term legitimate interests of Spain are not taken into account.'

Staying in the Euro simply means being subjected to higher powers... No?

How can Spain solve its problems, if everything is dictated by Brussels?

I think Spain needs to leave the Euro if it's ever to stabilise its economy and become as attractive as Turkey etc once again.

I also think the UK should totally bailout of the EU........they suck far too much money from us and allow us very little input.

Who wants Brussels to dictate what it can and can't do and impose ridiculous human rights laws
Thinks that if all economists were laid end to end, they would not reach a conclusion
