Unhappy But what about the crisis?

While the world goes to hell in a hand cart, this sort of 'news worthy' stuff hits our headlines. Priorities please!; or is it just me

The media just like the politicians want to keep crisis talks to a minimum...

I was shocked to see how over the weekend, 200 anarchists and "okupas" completely vandalized the district of Gracia (in Barcelona) this weekend. And guess what? The story has hardly been mentioned in the local press...

Buried heads and all that ..... if we don't mention it it will all go away I am not going to make comment on the link, religion and politics I don't do.

greg I caught the tail end of a news report on that over the weekend, sounded frightening. Sometimes I wonder at the reasoning behind not reporting on local issues, maybe so as not to inflame but then they report other items to te hilt and cause kick back on them

Well, it´s also surprising to me the small amount of space dedicated to serious news ( protests in Greece, which have expanded to other countries, with vandalic acts in Madrid and Barcelona, billionaires making money disappear, growing unemployment), and lots of pages dedicated to "lighter" news like this one of the lesbians ( here we have a very pro-gay government, which is something that I approve, but sometimes they flood the news with this kind of things), or football soap operas. As it was said in Rome, "Panem et circenses"....
