    Default Weekly Friday Rant!

OK so there's a Global Economic Crisis, well there is for some of us.

Was just listening to the news in the car, 2 consecutive news pieces as follows:

    1. Ben Affleck announcing his support and plea for us to assist and give to those in the Congo with no homes after the recent troubles.

    2. Stars and celebrities attend a £20,000,000 party in Dubai

Is it just me or is the world just screwed up?

    Friday rant over!

Make me feel good and someone else have a moan about something

Noooo its not just you, the world is all to pot so called stars and celebrities etc don't get me started on footballers being paid stoopid salaries and folks actually looking up to some them I know some of them do good deeds quietly but a far better place it could be if they lead by example and showed what they were doing to help the less fortunate.

I have nothing right now to moan about BUT if in 3 weeks we have no new washing machine STAND BACK OR BETTER STILL RUN FOR COVER lol

I heard today that the fall in oil price to under €50 per barrel is a disaster for the world economy...excuse me? Wasn't that said when it first went over €100. I think I'm missing something here

It means that a litre of sin plomo 95 is now under a euro per litre for the first time in a few years - that sounds good to me!

It's a disaster for my meagre oil shares !
Seriously, it surely has to be a good thing doesn't it ? When the price of oil went up so did the price of food and every other wretched thing. I bet we don't see a reverse image and see the same reductions.
It seems to me that when food prices go up, they stay up, fixed forever in their new allotted status.

Its been about a year and a half since petrol was under a euro per litre year and has just gone under it now in area. It was ridiculously cheap when I first came down about 60 cents a litre for petrol. Diesel being a bit dearer.

A lot of people are recession-proofed. The list is long enough to bore you. There are those earning far more than they can spend anyway. Celebrities, politicians, professional footballers; the list goes on and on.
Add to those the ones who actually make more money by putting prices up whilst laying the blame on the credit crunch. Then of course there's those in the debt recovery industries, debt advisers, certain legal callings; bankruptcy practitioners. Their boat really has come in.
