Default Thanks - and further info'

I was appreciative of help when I needed an English language translation of one of Telefonica's telephone manual. For those faced with the same dilemmas; i.e. a product and service which because of language difficulties you do not understand, here's the English download Telefonica service.
Looking through the website (in English) I found it user friendly and I suppose if more computer users were to actually use it, much of the anti-Telefonica ire might evaporate.

Telefonica and Telefonica in English are NOT the same company. Any business you do with one is NOT the same as the other. They are in no way connected.

I was lucky! A line had already been installed and just needed re-connecting. It is (perhaps) the downside to being where you live, Willie. I recently drove through Jijona to Alcoi on my way to Ontinyent.
What wild beauty and views! You are very privileged in other ways. You really want to be with us in Britsville, even for a telephone line? Costa Computers are specialists in providing full radio access.

Oh, I simply googled Telefonica. Then I had the 'English' option. I delved in and sure enough there was the information I needed. I was able to download the English language user's manual for the Domo 2 phone; which Telefonica supplied to a neighbour.
Very often, these multinationals are multi-owned for administrative purposes. I know there's a Telefonica tie-in with BT. Supra-nationals, like banks, are a kaleidescope of contributing 'partners.
The car industry likewise. Most of the parts are made by independent manufacturers we have never heard of. Rentokil was (maybe still is) one of the world's biggest companies. Rat catchers? An insignificant part of an operation that spans a multitude of manufacturing and service industries. It is the way of the world, Val.

Michael, clearly what you were looking for was information on the Domo Phone, what I was referring to was the fact that ' Telefonica in English' is not an english language branch of 'Telefonica' itself. A large number of Brits have fallen into this trap by trying to sort out issues with the Telefonica service through 'Telefonica in English'. Hence my post to warn everybody. That is what this website is for, sharing valuable information about living in Spain.

Well, Val; the Telefonica website in English clearly states at the offset that it is independent so no one is under any illusions; at least they shouldn't be unless they want it in Braille.
Sharing valuable information about living in Spain is what I do. As a freelance journalist writing on this subject I have an excellent reputation throughout Spain and the UK.
I posted the thread because I wanted to help others. To recap: My neighbour wanted his 2 Domo phone better explained but only had a Telefonica user's manual (should that be manuel?) in Spanish.
Having printed it off in English, provided by independent Telefonica, and taken it to my neighbour, both he and I are thrilled. He now fully understands the buttons and procedures. Mission accomplished.
Surely a discourse on who owns what is the subject of an alternative thread, which we would all welcome. I look forward to reading yours, or anyone else's, on where responsibility begins and ends on the various services provided.

I think what Val was trying to point out was that not everyone is aware of the difference between Telefonica and Telefonica in English. There are many guest read the posts and could misunderstand. For myself, when I first started looking for phone connection, I almost went to TIE, mistakenly thinking it was part of Telefonica, thankfully a friend alerted me to real situation. I believe her post was alert others who may not have the local knowledge.
