Hi folks Just gota good deal on car hire for August 243 Euros For 9 days clio or punto Diesel

If by chance you go back to UK you can get upgrades at the drop of a hat. Went to Europocar and got Mercedes ML40 4x4, brand new for price of econmy car.

Just wondered where anyone might know where to get reasonable prices for hiring a car in July august from either alicante airport or torrieviejca we are looking for either a peugeot partner or renault kangaroo small van. Any help much appreciated.

I recently tried to hire a car for someone coming to Spain via Alicante airport at short notice and most of the companies (incl. Avis, believe it or not!) have nothing available during July and August. They seem to have reduced their fleets (which are probably contract hired) this year in order to save money, anticipating a big fall in tourists.

I have rang most local companies near to Torrevieja, guess what six companis do not have any cars left to rent out near the end of July. I am sure all the car hire compaies have cut back on cars due to the recession. Even a few years ago at peak season you could still find a car to hire.
Any car hire companies out there who wish to tell why they have no cars left for hire in July August 2009 ?

Be Aware Europcar car hire in spain. Especialy in Salou Puerta ventura hotel.
Will have lots of problems returning the car.
