    Default Autumn Plants

    Now that the summer flowers have been killed off (more than likely) by the failure of our watering system, while away, I am looking for ideas of what to fill pots and troughs with. What do you have for winter colour and interest in yours ? I have yet to get to the local vivero to see what they are selling. Any ideas would be good ta

    Ah I get it, you all have clumps of brown plants too and are waiting for inspiration it will take a miracle to get anything from mine I think so gave them a weak feed of 'Miracle Grow'

    Try some strawberries, more verbina etc they should grow all winter. We have fresh strawberries at Xmas. Good all rounder is euphorbia, smallish with red, white or pink flowers but do have spikes.

    Thanks for that keddyboy, will have a look in local vivero if they have anything if not will have wait now till my husband is able to get around better.

    Verbena is good I've had my plants for 3 years. they flower all year and mine are in direct sun all summer.

    Spanish Property 2012


    What a difference a bit of rain does, it refreshes the garden and all the plants are sighing that the very hot spell is over.
