Most likely cause Val is the connector to the digi box/LNB, with the bad weather we have been having water may well have entered the connector at the LNB on the dish.

What are you using (equipment) and what does it say on the screen (no signal?)
Dish may have moved a smidge in the wind, if so you could well get a "no signal" screen.

Box went plink, no light at all on it red nor green. Checked all the mess at the back but nothing seemed amiss. Sorry I have no idea about it.

Try unplugging the box from the mains, wait ten seconds then plug it back in again, might do it.

Sounds like a power in problem Val as it should at least have a red light. I assume that it has a Spanish plug fitted ?, if not are you using a UK one that has a fuse ?.
So you need to check the plug, or try pluging it into an extension lead that is plugged into another socket elsewhere.

If you can get Spanish channels, I assume you have a separate Spanish ariel.
If so can you get some films on it in English. I have a TDT box attached to the Spanish ariel, which converts films which were originally in English back nto English...It won't give you Sky news or BBC programmes, but there are some good films on.

As your TV is working, and no lght shows on the receiver, the problem sounds as though it's in the plug oreceiver. Find the electric plug from the dish receiver, check whether it has the large three pin UK plug. If so, open it. Take out the fuse, and try a fuse from another UK plug...If it's not that, you need a man to help you.

From machine to extension bar, plug is UK with fuse so will fiddle with it once removed the DUST then I have other things to do and NO I do NOT want ANY news on ANY soaps thank you I do not watch them nor much else really.

As to ariel sheesh I will have to play follow that lead I HATE cables and wires that are not tidy ! It will all have to wait I need my breakfast first !

Added hhhmmm what a mess of connections to ??? less dust now though :-) back there. The plug is a UK one with 3 amp fuse damned if I can find where I last saw any spares. Had enough messing with now will have to wait till later in day.
