Default gas boilers bottles and showers !!!!

Right what I WANT is to be able to have a shower without the water going cold and or the gas going out I am so cold now I can barely type !

How do I stop the water from going cold when having a shower, the gas bottle is inside a cupboard in the kitchen BUT has no cover. I know the gas gets colder as the level goes down HELPPPPPP

Have a thermostatic grifo installed, however if you let the gas level in the bottle go too low, it will still go cold because Butane does not reliably turn to gas at less than 5C for which you need propane!

thermostatic grifo translated is ? a thermostatic tap ? there is one on the shower tap it was fitted for when using the solar water. It is way too cold to use yet shivers I am still freezing

Yes they are usually a horizontal tube with on/off at one end and temperature adjustment at the other (about €25-30 in Brico)

Val if the gas gets to low in the bottle it will not work (as Baldilocks said) as it will not produce enough gas from the liquid.
This (as I guess you know) can be an issue getting "all" the gas from the bottle before changing.
Use the near empty one in a portable gas fire as this "will" empty the bottle.
    Or
Have to bottles plumbed into the system as the gas flowing from a full one will empty the low one alongside of it & I have used this method to good effect.

You really need to get your local gas man in to descale the water heater as you have had an issue with this for some time (correct?)

Yes getting all the gas is pain being scottish I do try I tend to do the same as my husband did ... use the near empty one for the cooker till it stops. No gas heaters here, condensation makers I think. The boiler is very old, what kind of price are we talking for descale ? and yes it has done it before ocassionally. I have to watch the spending for now

Val if you get it done by a local plumber, for God's sake after it is done, make sure you flush through all the taps thoroughly before washing, or using your shower, because the standard practice is to flush the pipes through with acid, it does the job, you just have to be aware of that.
