. I have come up with an idea to offer an additional service. I was told to try and contact the local councils but I cant seem to get through to the right person. I think now the only way to get a name of a person who runs them is to physically go up to the person on the beach and ask them.....but as I live in England its a near impossibility! So thats why Im going to be really cheeky and ask if any of you lucky people on heer go the beach would ask for the name/contact details of someone I could contact!!! Hope you dont mind me asking......Thanks in advance.x |

hi, At this time of year, and given the weather just now, I don't think many people will be going to the beach. But someone might know what you are asking about. I don't because I live quite a distance inland.

As dunmovin says not many of us are as mad to be on the beach in the rain and single figure temperatures !
As pointed out on your other thread the person on the beach taking the money may not be the owner and I certainly would not give the name my employer to somebody who walked up to me and asked on behalf of somebody not even in the country. |

I am not being funny nor negative. If you have a business idea for this country then would it not be better to have some basic insight into the conditions that will affect it and to put some effort yourself into it ? ie visit the country, do your research while here ? There is a lot you can do via internet but hands on is the best way to find out the real truth of any information. I am not saying that anyone here would do it but the information you receive via the internet could be far from the truth or only apply in one area. Every local authority does things it way, what applies here may not elsewhere.
I have no idea what your service may be but do you want to give it away to anybody who says they will ask around for you ? what if they find it is a great wee earner and start up by them selves ? |

You can search on the Ayuntamiento websites for further information/initial email addresses but you'll most likely need Spanish in order to locate said information and articulate what it is you're offering (at a high level) and request further information on who could help you with your enquiry.

You really ought to be up with what the weather is doing here so that you can tell whether you have a viable idea that you can put into practice that will last for more that a couple of months each year.
School holidays here happen at different times from UK, so unless you are targeting only areas used by Brits, you may need to look at slightly different seasons. Having said that, my personal experience of beaches is zilch, nix nada - I am not a beach person. Weather-wise you need to go to the AEMet website. |

You will never get in that business down in Costa del Sol as all the beach businesses are family ownwed and some are 'Family' owned if you get my drift!!!! It is a highly lucrative business for 5 months and I am afraid you have 2 hopes , Bob Hope and no hope. Sorry but you wanted to know.

here in Valencia, the kiosks are all closed at this time of year. They only supply beds etc for a few months of the year. Mid June to mid September. the whole beach is controlled by the same "company" or "person".

In my experience you will find it virtually impossible to get a licence to work any beach legally in Spain. The spanish will keep those type of concessions to themselves. Even if you have a great idea as an add on to the sunshades business they will just use your idea.
Also to set something up from the U.K will be even harder. Sorry. |
