Handmade craft items

Hello! Does anybody knows if handmade craft items are selling good in Spain?! And by handmade items what I mean is painted eggs, traditional clothing, rugs etc. In Romania we are famous for the painted eggs (chiken, ostrich) and are in great demand in Europe.

I think the Spanish like handmade crafts, there are lots of areas with open air stalls selling these goods and they seem to do well.

We have a craft/produce (for example wine, cheese....) market once every month; it's funded by the Ayuntamiento ;-)

So, if I come with some handmade crafts I can sell them with succes, right?!

It's a good ideea with wine, cheese and other food products... I never thought of that.

And another thing. I'm wonder if in Spain a normal citizen can sell chiken eggs. I mean, for example, if somebody have 30 chickens, if this guy can sell fresh eggs to people, or in some market store. Or we need some kind of autorization or something?

I'm sure you would need some kind of license to sell edibles. The rules and regulations for this re quite strict.

Yes Mimosa is right. It's probably best if you contact a few Ayuntamientos in the areas you are considering moving to in order to get a feel for the requirements before you become eligible to sells crafts/produce ;-)
