We are looking to target the expat community with a media based service for those individuals that are located in apartment style accommodation that do not have access or are unable to locate satellite dishes on their buildings. This is an internet delivered service that is currently available in the US but is new to the Spanish market. If anybody can help here with some data it would be appreciated. |

The British consul have details, whether they will release them is another matter, also many expats do not register with the authorities,

According to the 2004 census, Benidorm has a permanent pop. of 64,956, although i've just read elsewhere it's more like 68,000. Rises to 500,000+ in the summer. Calpe has a population of 26,382 and Altea 16,000. It's all on the internet.

Hi nicholasj,
I take it you haven't had a chance to check our guide to Spain: Costa Blanca Population - Guide to Spain Also if you understand Spanish I suggest checking out Instituto Nacional de Estadística. (National Statistics Institute) - Spain's National Statistics Institute.

Best i can manage at the moment is that Calpe is almost exclusively expats. and preferred by the Germans, Wheras Alte is favoured by the Dutch and Torrevejia, by the Brits.
Benidorm. Ethnicity makeup Spanish,56% British/Irish,19% Dutch/Belgian,13% Romanian,6% German,3% Other,3%. Source: Wikipedia. |

Calpe.
In 2008 it had 29,228 inhabitants, 62.8% of whom were foreign, mainly British (4,375 surveyed, 15% of total census) and Germans (3,887, 13% of the census). I hope this helps. |

Nicholasj, I apologize I did mean to reply to an earlier post of yours. I agree with the rough figures as outlined above although we have seen a few expats leaving in the last 6-12 months. Purely from my own experiences I would say over 50% live in villas not apartments. Also many apartments allow the smaller dishes which many brits use to get minimum sky channels. I hope this helps.
