No problem,
Interesting thanks.
We are trialing TV over internet ...or IPTV where we can supply all the free to air channels in the UK over the internt to a PC, phone or TV.

We will be hosting slingboxes in the UK from which the client can access their BBC 1 etc from any where in the world as long as their is an approximate 1 to 1.5 mb internet connection.

Thanks again

Nick

That's us ruled out then! Used to get 0,3mb with Telefoníca ( on a very good day.),it's better with this wi-fi but still only 0.8mb.

Yeah Internet in Spain is not good... Telefonica just don't want to know about it.... I have been told not sure if true... but the Government fine Telefonica 3 mil euro a month for not providing infrastructure.......

Telefonica is also in the lowest 5 % of service providers in Europe... UK will eventually go with 40 mb connections...already 20 mb...we struggle to get 1 mb here....

[Please ! read and adhere to the guidelines, thank you]

If you check out a2btv in the States ..this is what we hope to provide but in reverse... UK to expats internationally. Oooops am I aloud to post a URL... (Try re reading or reading the guidelines thank you) ?

This is the next biggest thing....Singboxes will fly like the VHS of the 70's and 80's

Nick

Smile Ah slingboxes

I haven't tried this but I can watch uktv using proxy servers(shhhh!) but we OFTEN don't have the internet speed to watch anything comfortably. If it rains FORGET IT! If you can make it work though pm I have a couple of websites I could put it on. I am confidently told NOWHERE in Calpe gets speed above 2mb and most are less than 1 at the moment.

Default Their are always work arounds

My mates watched the India cricket and the Aussie England Rugby live over the internet(say 4 to 5 minute delay due to buffering etc) on myp2p.eu Free Live Sports on your PC, Live Football, MLB, NBA, NHL and more..

Have not used this myself, but you will have to download some players say only 2 or 3 not all the ones listed.

Hi to Nick and all. Thought I'd join this thread, as my parents live in the Benissa area and are having alot of trouble getting English tv. I have been looking into Slingboxes recently as a possibility for them. So am interested in knowing more about your plans to set up Slingbox hosting. Do you have any further information on this? (Although I do suspect their internet connection may be too slow)
