Thread: Supplies for market stalls

Can anybody tell me if it's legal and/or the done thing to buy items from department stores (in Spain and UK) during sales and sell them on a market stall in Spain? Do the stores object to somebody clearing out their shelves? Will the Spanish stores provide iva receipts?

Any advice appreciated.

Hi Carbill, and welcome. Yes big stores in spain provide vat (iva) invoices (facturas) They have to have you NIE number or your CIF number. you adress , then they can issue you an invoice. If they dont have your info and just give you a reciept it is not valid with the taxman.
There is no problem , for example buying 50 pairs of shoes from lidl / aldi and selling them on a market stall.
