this is a very important subject matter do to, how we interact with others is the most important thing in life. My attempt at marriage was a total failure. Did get a wonderful child. No regrets there. However, getting along in a relationship is almost impossible. My 2 cents worth of opinion are that if the individuals are not growing emotionally in a positive way and funtioning to become independant financially, than it may be better to fly solo. the woman who gave me a child could not or would not adhere to these fundamentals.

Me and the War Department have been married for 40 years next year. I think that at the outset of a relationship lust and its many tendrils comes into play but then you know when the time comes to extend the relationship. I am now completely devoted to her indoors and always will be. You have to work on a good marriage as life throws a lot of obstacles in your path. Here goes for the next forty!!!!!!!!!

Her Ladyship has suffered me for sixteen years now which means I can't be that bad. I wouldn't change her for all the money in the world. ah

Oh yes she is here. Waiting on Ice Road Truckers starting. She drives every inch of the roads with them all. Bless her she is totally exhausted when it finishes. Believe it or not she watches lasts weeks episode and this weeks talk about a glutton for punishment. I suppose our secret is we dont take things too seriously life is too short for that.Of course when seriousness is required it is imposed and I know she is always there with me.

Yesterday I was discussing about my newly married life with my friends when one of them popped in quoting Mark Twain and I liked that quote:
"Love seems the swiftest, but it is the slowest of all growths. No man or woman really knows what perfect love is until they have been married a quarter of a century."

I also admired Barack Obama, the US President quoting for his married life:
"My wife has been my closest friend, my closest advisor. And ... she's not somebody who looks to the limelight, or even is wild about me being in politics. And that's a good reality check on me. When I go home, she wants me to be a good father and a good husband. And everything else is secondary to that."

Happiness is wanting what you have ....... not.........having what you want.

A wonderful philosophy ensures happiness prevails.
