It may have been a bit windy, but we had our warmest day of the year so far..Nice to see the summer dresses and T shirts out instead of coats.

It was pretty wild here last night the car port cover rattled and wind howled round that end of the house. I read in the news at least two dead in the storms so far. Sad news indeed.

I hope everybody is taken care and keeping safe through the storms.

Down here in Costa del Sol, windy but heavy gust during the night but only for about 5 minutes, then peace for an hour and then off again.

I wonder how the Northern based members faired.......I hope nobody suffered any serious damage.

Down here on the Costa Blanca we are now experiencing our 6th day in a row with gale force winds. No major damage, apart from losing some fence panels but I've never know wind like this and for so long.

Check out these photos from the storm here in Barcelona!

The small play house was on the roof terrace of a neighbour... In the photo you can see it in the street!

The container in the second photo is in the middle of Avenida Diagonal - the main street in Barcelona!

And the third a scooter on the sidewalk... We saw dozens all over town like that! The last one is just a nice background on my blackberry

    Oh it was!!

Thank God it wasn't as bad as on the last photo

Did you hear of the school close to Barcelona where the wind destroyed a sports hall killing 4 children?

It was a real chaos here last weekend. We spent most of Sunday without any electricity...
