    Default Vessel off Estepona Coast

Anyone know what the large motor vessel is that's been hanging about off the coast of Estepona for the past few weeks?

It looks like a research vessel, there has been a lot of interest in this area lately and Spain has been arguing writes to certain wrecks with a US company Odyssey Marine.

Somebody said it was a roll-on ferry but it doesn't look like one...

    Just curious if anyone knows?

It's been up and down the coast for a few weeks, but now it's static anchored bow and stern and it sits there all night lights blazing, so I guess they have found what they were looking for...

That's really odd.... Maybe you should take a photo and upload it here so we can all get a good look at it

It's quite a way out I can see it OK with binoculars but not good enough to see a name...

    Interesting...

Could it be a fishing boat? Or some sort of "cleaning boat"...

In Barcelona they have vessels that clean the sea water from rubbish dumped by the tourists...

It's one big trawler if it is, and they don't usually anchor and sit in one spot...

Maybe it is fixing a cable makes sense but why would it spend 3 weeks looking for it, you would think it would know where it is. Mind you if its a Spanish company maybe not if it's anything like the wiring in my house

I am waiting for the vessels identity from another source that would reveal all, I've even been told its the Mallorca ferry so until I know for sure you can see my scepticism
