    Arrow Bars/Cafes/Restaurants

This is where you can add a restaurant/cafe/bar that you personally have used in THIS area and found to be good value/good service/good food/clean etc.

The name/address can be shown but please NO website links. ( They will be removed)

Keep them positve and true. Should you subsequently find any change of owner/closures please edit you post to show new information.

    Happy dining.

Why not try La Boma, a South African venta run by two sisters. On outskirts of Alhaurin el Grande beneath The Water Tower at Los Morenos Roundabout. Good South African fare.

Finca La Mota is now reopened and refurbished. Arun the previous owner has sold up and gone back to the USA to look after his elderly parents. New ownership and refurbished. Good food and excellent renting rooms. Near again the Water Tower on Los Morenos roundabout. Los Morenos itself on the roundabout is worth a vist. Family owned for decades, good home cooking.

    Bar Alarcón, C/ Lasta, 1 Mijas 29650

It was closed on Sundays may still be.

In the village of Mijas, Santana district – This bar came recommended by a local who took a party of us there. They have a good selection of very reasonably priced tapas and local Spanish food. There are 3 levels to bar, the down stairs is tapas and copas, bar service. We ate in the middle floor which is table service, they also have roof terrace. We ordered about 9 plates and had a great time sampling them ALL

    Thumbs up

I use Passion cafe in San Pedro McDonald square and Terra Sana next to Puerto Banus Casino for quick lunch and meetings. New Terra Sana just opened in Laguna Beach on the way to Estepona and it is a great place for a healthy and tasty wraps, salads, sandwiches, etc.
My personal favourite is Grumbles - best breakfast, eggs, bacon, beans on toast, etc. Not expensive either. It is located between Benahavis exit and km 166 exit, next to Benavista shops.

Wink Vista del Mar, Playa Miraflores, Mijas Costa

Vista Del Mar is a 'hidden gem'. Once you enter their grounds, you step into a peaceful quiet, rarely seen on this coast.

Fronted by a large sun drenched terrace is a majestic swimming pool, swaying palms in green lush gardens with The Med in the background. It's like being on a beach with NO SAND!!

The Restaurant is owned by David & Jayne and you can be assured of a warm welcome - superb food in a charming environment - tranquil and informal!!

The kitchen is run by German Chef Michael Mittag, with 20 years experience of Spain. Michael's menu is full of choice, fresh produce (dependant on season)and will have you tasting flavours long after you've left!!

Live entertainment 3 times weekly (Summer) is a great way to while away the hours with either a drink, snack or meal - Guranteed to have you wanting more

To find Vista Del Mar, take the Oceano turn off the N340, turn imediate right and right again and follow signs to restaurant.

Once you find it, I promise , you'll be back for more.
